ARTSY AUTUMN IN ROME
This post is a little love letter to my favorite citiy — Rome. All of today’s projects are inspired by the art I’ve seen there, from vibrant street art on hidden walls to small creative details in cafés, markets, and museums. They’re also shaped by memories and the many photos I’ve taken during my autumn visits.

This is another page from my travelers art journal. I found the bird one night on a wall in Rome.
I thought to myself: to whom is his love? where is his little bird wife?
I found the answer in the process of creating this page.
Have to say: I only used the stuff that I brought from this trip, no extras.

UNSAID - MIXED MEDIA GIRL #3
For this whimsical mixed media girl (low budget supplies) I used an old stamped watercolor paper as background. The words on my page say: "So many things are left unsaid and birds that can not fly are dead." I found this sentence on a wall in a restaurant in Rome that's called "Mons Angels".

I found a really strange but so awesome skulpture of a garden gnome in COSTURA CONCEPT STORE, where the art of ARTESSE GALLERY was exhibited. For this page in my traveler journal I didn't want to use the original photo, but try an own interpretation. I hope, you like it.

my second attempt to create a mixed media girl with low budget

In this page I tried to capture the memory of a drink I had in Abbey Theatre Irish Pub in Rome: MAGNERS PEAR. The aluminium foil I glued to the pear came from the bottle of the drink. I have to say, that the surface I painted on is normal copy paper, no watercolor paper, because for this journal I used only the stuff I brought home from the trip. But for me... the waves in the paper are making it look more interesting.
