My fake eco dyeing technique is a creative twist on traditional eco dyeing that uses oxide inks on matte photo paper to achieve beautiful, organic effects.

What makes this process so exciting is the power of experimentation. There’s no single “right” way to do it - every splash of ink, every drop of water, and every reaction creates something unexpected and unique. By playing, exploring, and letting go of strict rules, you can discover stunning patterns, soft color transitions, and natural-looking textures that feel like they came straight from nature.

Eco dyeing is one of the most fascinating techniques to create awesome papers for junk journals or other paper craft projects. That's for sure. But it's also a really time consuming method and the smell... ugh. There are some people who even can't do it, because they have health issues and can't work with ingredients like vinegar or alum, which are used for eco dyeing. What if there was a way to create fake eco dyed papers without waiting time, without bad smell, without vinegar & alum and with the possibility to get colors that you woudn't get from plants with the real method?

Es gibt sogar Leute, die das nicht machen können, weil sie gesundheitliche Probleme haben und nicht mit Zutaten wie Essig oder Alaun arbeiten können, die beim eco dyeing verwendet werden. Was wäre, wenn es eine Möglichkeit gäbe, gefärbte Papiere zu haben, ohne Wartezeit, ohne schlechten Geruch, ohne Essig und Alaun und mit der Möglichkeit, Farben zu erhalten, die man mit der echten Methode nicht von Pflanzen bekommen würde?
