CRAZY SPIDERWEB EFFECT

When we find real spiderwebs in our homes - or even worse, on our crafting supplies - we’re usually not too happy about it. But inside a Halloween journal or on Halloween ephemera, that’s a completely different story!

Yesterday’s Vaultober post was all about neat, stitched spiderwebs made with the sewing machine — but today, we’re taking that idea in a whole new direction.

This time, the webs get wild and chaotic! We’ll skip the sewing machine completely and build the spiderweb effect with fabric scraps, threads, and texture, letting everything overlap, twist, and tangle naturally.

The result? Perfectly imperfect spiderweb ephemera — messy, spooky, and full of handmade charm.

Don’t like spiderwebs in your junk journals?

Then you might enjoy this idea from 2021 — it also features circles and lots of texture. In this project, I used my sewing machine, but you could easily try it with a stapler, just like we did in today’s video.

Magst du keine Spinnennetze in deinen Junk Journals?
