BUTTERFLIES FOR HALLOWEEN?
Butterflies might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Halloween - but that’s exactly why they’re so special in spooky projects.
Their delicate shapes and graceful movement create a striking contrast to darker, creepier elements and can add a touch of mystery, transformation, or even a little magic.
Used in deep autumn colors, muted tones, or layered with grungy textures, butterflies can easily shift from sweet and gentle to eerie and enchanting. They remind us that Halloween isn’t only about fear - it’s also about change, transition, and the beauty that can emerge from the unexpected.
So don’t hesitate to add a few wings to your Halloween makes. They might just become the most hauntingly beautiful detail of all.
Here are some cards I made with the grit paste glow and mica stain sprays by Ranger & Tim Holtz. I used the BUTTERFLIES VOL. 1 and VOL. 2 fussy cut images from my shop for the focal points.
Here are the colors of mica stain spray I used to make the cards, including a little swatch for each of them.
You can get the BUTTERFLIES VOL.1 and VOL.2 fussy cut images for 50% off in my shop during Vaultober 2025! Click the pictures below for more information!
