INSPIRATION

MASK - ALTER - AGE - ALL IN ONE STEP! Try this with your images!

Have you ever wondered how to mask an image that's already part of something else-like a printed ephemera sheet, a book page, or a postcard? In this video, I’ll show you how easily you can do that with any image you have.

At the same time, this technique allows you to alter and age the image in one single step. Sounds cool, right?

EASY PEASY DISTRESSING TRICK!

You won’t believe how easy this is! Let’s transform some ephemera from the TATTERED BUNNY COLLAGE BOOK paper collection. I’ll show you how to get that perfectly grungy, vintage vibe while selectively preserving parts of the image for a truly one-of-a-kind look!

JUNK JOURNAL PAGE IDEA: paper piecing (well, kind of) for backgrounds!

Why cut your junk journal pages apart? Simple: To piece them back together even better!

Join me as we cut & piece our way to a one-of-a-kind layout. Sometimes you have to break the rules (and the paper) to find the magic!

TURN TRASH INTO JUNK JOURNAL POCKETS!

Remember those die-cut leftovers we created the other day? Instead of tossing them in the bin, let's turn them into junk journal pockets! I love embracing those happy accidents along the way -they often lead to the most amazing and unique ideas.

EXTREME GRUNGE IN SECONDS

Are you a total scaredy-bunny? Then look away now! This technique isn’t for the faint of heart. But if you live for extreme grunge and messy pages, you better give this a go -otherwise, you're missing out on all the fun. Don't say I didn't warn you!

THE "USE WHAT YOU HAVE STRATEGY"

What next?" It’s the big question we all face when decorating junk journal pages. Does sitting in front of a blank page not knowing where to start feel a little too familiar? Then it’s time to try the "Use What You Have" strategy—and I mean that in the most literal sense!

LET'S MAKE EPHEMERA STORAGE SPOTS!

We all love having a ton of ephemera in our journals, right? So, let's make some more pockets, and also belly bands, tucks spots and other storage thingies for the journal!

Here's the video about how I made those tuck spots with the cute children - I can't believe for how long those have been in my stash before they now finally found their place in this journal! Holy cow!

Will it work? JUNK JOURNAL COVER CONSTRUCTION EXPERIMENT

For the journal cover, I’m trying something completely new with the spine's flexibility. I've never attempted this before... Will it actually work? Let's find out together.

Never made a journal with a hidden spine? Don't panic! The following video from my POPPY FIELD AVENUE junk journal series shows you exactly how to do it. (I haven't filmed it for the TATTERED BUNNY COLLAGE BOOK series to save some time, thanks for your understanding!)

LET'S GO GLAZY! FASCINATING TECHNIQUE WITH TEXTURE PASTE & EMBOSSING GLAZE

If you’ve never tried this technique to add incredible patterns and textures to your junk journal covers, this is your sign to try it TODAY!

JOURNAL COVER EMBELLISHMENT

Now for the soul of the journal: the cover embellishment. This is where the magic (and the overthinking) happens! My decisions might take ages and seem a bit weird, but that’s how we build real character. Let’s trust the process and see where it leads.

ARE YOU STILL STAMPING "ON" PAPER? START STAMPING "IN" IT!

Stop stamping on your paper and start embedding your designs into it! In this video, I’ll show you my technique I discovered for creating a perfectly seamless look that makes your stamps appear as if they were always part of the page.

Whether you are working on a junk journal or a mixed-media project, this method might completely change how you use your favorite stamps! At least, that's what it did for me!

EASY JUNK JOURNAL SPREAD IDEA: bunny-chick with floral wreath

I was working on some other things when this idea came to mind: let's create a fun bunny-chick themed journal spread today using some die cuts and a focal point we created the other day!
